Accessibility

Accessibility deals with undertaking empirical investigations to examine the behaviour of outer city residents in accessing local facilities, their propensity to walk or cycle, and the physical character of neighbourhoods that influence these decisions.  Evaluation of the standards of accessibility to local facilities currently in use by local authorities will also be undertaken. This component of SOLUTIONS ties in with Accessibility and User Needs in Transport Sustainable Urban Environments AUNT-SUE consortium of EPSRC in relation to social inclusion.
