Strategic Design Local Design

Cambridge - Local Design

The Local Design component has three local study areas (see map below):

  • Cambridge Southern Fringe
  • Northstowe
  • Cambridge East

Location of local study areas in Cambridge

The aim of this component is to prepare local design options for each of the three study areas in accordance with the archetypes as described in the general method section on Local Design and test its sustainability three areas has be assessed through a series of workshops with local stakeholders. The workshops were held in 2004 through to 2005, with the active support from the local authorities.
