Strategic Design Local Design Assessment

London - Local Design

The Local Design component has three local study areas in East London (Barking); West London (Harrow), and the M11 corridor (Broxbourne).

SOLUTIONS aims to prepare local design options in accordance with the archetypes as described in the general method section on Local Design. The sustainability of local design options for each of the three areas will be assessed through a series of workshops with local stakeholders.

Currently, the stakeholders' workshops in Barking have been completed. The final stakeholders' workshop in Broxbourne is expected to be held in March 2007 and work on the local area in Harrow began in Jan 2007.

The local case study work is progressing with the active support of the local authorities in the respective areas.
